Save 3ABN Special Report
3ABN's New Board Member: Larry Romrell
On August 3, 2007, Plaintiffs 3ABN and Danny Shelton filed their witness list in U.S. District Court,
a list which included the following new board member:
Larry Romrell brings to the 3ABN Board a wealth of experience, and perhaps the most notable is his
involvement in Capcom UK (a firm that was indicted in the U.S. in 1988) and Capcom US. His involvement
in these companies resulted in his being subpoenaed by the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations.
But first, his qualifications of a less sensational sort.
Interest in Aviation
3ABN president Danny Shelton has owned or leased at least two corporate jets to this point in time.
Larry Romrell likewise has an interest in aviation, which has resulted in his appointment by the governor
of Colorado to the Colorado Aeronautical Board. As a 2003 release by the governor's office puts it:
(DENVER) - Harold Jay Felderman of Greeley and Larry Romrell
of Franktown were appointed by Gov. Owens to the Colorado Aeronautical
Board.
"Harold Felderman and Larry Romrell have solid backgrounds
to effectively address the aviation needs within Colorado," said
Owens. ...
Larry Romrell, directs the corporate flight department at
Liberty Media Corporation. He serves as director of Liberty Media
and as a director of Liberty Livewire Corporation. Prior to these
positions, Romrell worked for TCI, a telecommunications company
based in Colorado, for nearly forty years. ("Owens

New 800-Seat Church
From a Ghana
newspaper comes this impressive story:
By Times Reporter
Wednesday, 11 April 2007
SUZY Sims, an American philanthropist, cutting the tape to dedicate
a ¢600 million chapel for the New Life Historic Adventist Church
at Osofoiaman near Mayera in the Ga West District.
The chapel with a 800 seating capacity for worshippers and funded
by Mr Larry Romrell, has a conference hall, library, vestry,
pastors' office and toilet facilities.
Speaking at the ceremony, Joseph Class-Peters, the Area Pastor,
said that plans were afoot to build primary and junior secondary
schools on the precinct of the church.
|
Besides being the Area Pastor of New Life Historic Adventist Church, Joseph Class-Peters is the director
of Steps to Life-Ghana, according to StepsToLife.org.
Danny Shelton's brother Kenny Shelton, whom some sources have called the real founder of 3ABN, has authored at least
15 articles for Steps to
Life's magazine, LandMarks, and was the final speaker for the 2006 Ten Commandments Weekend.
Scandal Extrication
According to NameBase.org,
Larry Romrell's name can be found in the following publications:
The page at NameBase.org goes
on to associate Larry Romrell's name with a number of Middle Eastern personages who were tied into
a scandal known as the BCCI affair, something bigger and more ominous than 3ABN president
Danny Shelton ever thought of being involved in.
BCCI stands for the Bank of Credit and Commerce International, a Pakastani bank and was called by
Senators John Kerry and Hank Brown in the "BCCI's Criminality" section of their 1992 report to the Senate
Committee on Foreign Relations, "the largest case of organized crime in history, spanning over some 72 nations."
What all was involved?
BCCI's criminality included fraud by BCCI and BCCI customers
involving billions of dollars; money laundering in Europe, Africa,
Asia, and the Americas; BCCI's bribery of officials in most of
those locations; support of terrorism, arms trafficking, and
the sale of nuclear technologies; management of prostitution;
the commission and facilitation of income tax evasion, smuggling,
and illegal immigration; illicit purchases of banks and real
estate; and a panoply of financial crimes limited only by the
imagination of its officers and customers. ("Executive Summary")
|
Larry Romrell's name appears in the Executive Summary, the
chapter on Capcom, copies of which we have placed on
Save3ABN.com, ad well as the Appendix.
Larry was the chairman of Capcom Financial
Services, Ltd., based in the UK, as well as Capcom Futures, Inc., of Chicago. Certain individuals involved with
BCCI had founded Capcom and were using it for purposes that were not fully understood by Senators Kerry and Brown.
Larry Romrell, Bob Magness, and two other Americans "played important and varied roles as frontmen" for Capcom,
but "evidently were never involved in the management of the firm." Capcom UK was indicted in Tampa, Florida in 1988.
To his credit, Larry Romrell, as far as we can tell, was never charged, indicted, tried, or convicted in
the whole affair. That being so, is it at all possible that Larry can help 3ABN president Danny Shelton
extricate himself out of the situation he now finds himself in, with his reputation and bank accounts intact?
Or will Larry use his extensive business expertise to rectify the problems at 3ABN, and clean house?
